JEFFREYS BAY – JBay Academy is celebrating the achievement of one of its learners, Judah Levendal, who has been selected to represent the Nelson Mandela Bay Surfriders (Eastern Province) at the upcoming 2025 Sea Harvest SA Junior Championships.
The national event will take place in October at Lower Point, Jeffreys Bay, a world-renowned surfing destination.
Levendal’s selection is a proud moment for both his school and the Jeffreys Bay community.
The Junior Championships bring together the country’s most promising young surfers, offering them the chance to showcase their skills on a national stage.
JBay Academy Deputy Principal, Roger Hendricks, said, “We are extremely proud of Judah’s hard work and dedication.”
“He is not only an outstanding surfer but also a fine ambassador for our school. We know he will make both JBay Academy and Nelson Mandela Bay proud.”
The school community has rallied behind Levendal, wishing him success as he prepares to compete among South Africa’s best.
His achievement highlights the talent and determination of local young athletes, and further cements Jeffreys Bay’s reputation as the surfing capital of South Africa.
