AN entrepreneur from Cradock has decided to share her success with those who are less fortunate.
Zola James, who started planting her own vegetables in 2018, found that she had much more than they could consume at home and started a small business, selling ready prepared, chopped and packaged vegetables around town.
Business was good, as her products were straight out of the ground and ready to be sold.
James started her own bakery in town a year ago and that gave her another opportunity to sell packages of vegetables, ready to be cooked or frozen.
Her business, E-Marikeni Vegetables, is doing so well that she is now prepared to appoint agents around the whole Eastern Cape to sell for her at a commission.
The vegetable parcels normally contain four kinds of vegetables, prepared and packed and will be delivered to agents by cold storage transportation.
James will only appoint agents who can devote their time and skills to the project.
“They must have the ability and energy to faithfully perform their duty in a responsible way. We may later set goals to these agents to encourage them and we promise to support them with weekly adverts, photo material and price lists informing them of the available vegetables, sizes, combos and specials,” James explained.
She said that she would also assist agents with social media advertising.
Agents who are interested will receive commission of 12.5% on obtaining their target of 30 parcels sold per month.
“An additional commission of 17.5% will be paid for all parcels exceeding the above,” she promised.
