At a Union High School staff function recently, special tribute was paid to Rory Sullivan, who will be retiring at the end of this year. He embarked on his career in teaching after matriculating from Union High School in 1969. Prior to accepting a post at his alma mater in 1980, he taught at Grey Junior and Victoria West High School. During 2003 and 2004 he accepted a post in Abu Dhabi and coached rugby in the USA. After his sojourn overseas he returned to UHS. He is regarded as an exceptional coach of multiple sporting codes, but rugby is where he shines the brightest. As he heads into retirement, Union wishes him a wonderful life ahead. Photo:SUPPLIED
