Komani-based football club Seven Stars has welcomed Twizza Pty Ltd, a local and proudly South African beverage company as their title sponsor for the 2022/23 season of the Provincial ABC Motsepe League.

This was revealed today at a media conference held at the Twizza offices in Komani.

The deal will see Twizza spend a quarter of a million each season to ensure that the club receives funds monthly to assist with preparations for their game. The company is also sponsoring the team with a kit (home and away jerseys) and other gears. Twizza will also contribute with products to be sold on match days, aimed at assisting the team in generating extra cash.

Three selected players from the Aloevale-based club will also receive an opportunity of a lifetime to rub shoulders with Twizza ambassadors, which include Springboks Rugby World Cup star Makazole Mapimpi.

Twizza CEO Lisle Clark said that they wanted to associate the company with Seven Stars because the club is playing a leading role in the community.

“We are super excited with our partnership with Seven Stars and one of the reasons we wanted to partner with the club is the fact that they are playing a key role in the community. They give young children hope and we want them to conquer the province by helping them,” said Clark.

Expressing his gratitude, chairperson of Seven Stars Jan Draghoender said, “We believe that it is important for companies that are operating and making money in previously disadvantaged communities to give back to those who need it most. To us, this is a proof that Twizza really cares about this community, and we would like to plead with our people to also show them love and support.”

Stars will open this season’s campaign with a Nedbank Cup Elimination Round against Matta Millan at home at the Dampy Adams Sports Complex on Saturday, September 17. Dampy Adams will also host East London’s Relatives FC and Amavarara FC from Steynsburg on the same day.
