NXUBA – Three people, believed to be members of the same family, died after a BMW sedan and a truck collided head-on on the N10 near Nxuba (formerly Cradock) in the early hours of 17 September.
According to the Eastern Cape Department of Transport, the collision occurred at approximately 02:30.
“The deceased, a man, woman and child, were occupants of the BMW. The truck driver escaped unharmed,” the department said.
The department further said the circumstances surrounding the crash are subject to investigation and a case of culpable homicide has been opened at the Nxuba Police Station.
Eastern Cape Department of Transport MEC Xolile Nqatha has extended his condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives.
