Suspects arrested for drug possession worth R200 000 in Komani

Safer Festive Season Operations by SAPS members attached to the Crime Intelligence and Task Team yielded good results when they apprehended two suspects for possession of drugs at Ezibeleni outside Komani on January 11.

According to police spokesperson, Captain Namhla Mdleleni, police members were busy with high visibility patrols in hotspot areas when they received valuable information about two suspects that have drugs in their possession. 

“The house was spotted and upon searching police recovered mandrax, tik, and cocaine to the street value of R200 000,” said Mdleleni.

Drugs worth R200 000 were found in the suspect’s possession.

She said that the two suspects aged 39 and 40 were arrested for dealing in drugs and are due to appear at the Ezibeleni Magistrate Court shortly.
