
On Friday, April 16 the swift response by Graaff-Reinet
Police Dog Unit members led to the arrest of two alleged suspects and the
recovery of a white VW polo motor vehicle that was stolen in Komani on April
13.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson,
after information was received that a vehicle was heading in the direction of
Graaff-Reinet, the Graaff-Reinet Police Dog Unit began searching for the
vehicle in Graaff-Reinet.
“Their patience and determination paid off when they spotted
the vehicle and its passengers in Church Street, Graaff-Reinet on Friday at
13:53,” said Rawlinson.
“The members managed to stop the white VW polo, arrest the
two alleged suspects and recovered the white VW polo.”
The driver and his passenger were arrested for the
possession of a stolen motor vehicle and are due to appear before the
Graaff-Reinet Magistrate’s Court soon.

determination shown to arrest these alleged suspects.
