THE fast and furious 58km Grahamstown to Sea mountain bike ride, from the hills of Makhanda to the coastal town of Port Alfred, will be hosted by the Saints & Sinners Cycling Club Foundation on Sunday, November 8.

Proceeds of the ride will go to the Port Alfred SPCA, as well as to the Grahamstown Residents’ Association.

The action starts at 08:30 at BUCO Warehouse (sponsors of the ride), 9 Strowan Road, Makanda, with e-bikes starting at 08:00, and finishes at Rosehill Mall in Port Alfred.

The race entry fee is R230 and a CSA day licence costs R35. Online entries close on Wednesday, November 4, and late entries are available at registration, but they incur a R60 per rider late entry fee.

Participants should take note that COVID-19 safety protocols apply, which include wearing of a buff or mask which is compulsory (except when racing).

Riders’ temperatures will be taken at registration and it is requested that they please adhere to social distance at the event. Unfortunately, no spectators will be allowed.
