INXUBA Yethemba Municipality’s Municipal Manager, Xolela Msweli, has sent wishes for the communities of Cradock and Middelburg during the festive season.
“The holidays are a wonderful time for loved ones to gather and share the good times.
“It is also an opportunity to reflect on the year that has gone by and it’s also the time to plan for the forthcoming year with hope and enthusiasm.
“This season is the time for us to reach out a little further to those around us and lets us look for those who might need that extra helping hand,” Msweli said.
He urged all motorists and pedestrians to be patient with each other to be safe on the roads during this busy time of the year.
“Road rage does not spread and grow love, it rather spreads hostility and misery. The Lord Almighty, is instructing us to love each other when he says in the scripture of Mark, chapter 12, verse 30-31, And you are to have love for the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength. The second is this, have love for your neighbour as for yourself, there is no other law greater than this.
“As Inxuba Yethemba Municipality, we will continue with our quest to bring and deliver quality services to our communities even during this period.
On behalf of the municipality, we would like to wish everyone including our visitors, a merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
On behalf of the local IEC office, I hereby urge all those voters that have not registered and/or verified their address details to kindly do so in preparation of the forthcoming elections,” concluded Msweli.
