SAB Regional League side, MK Academy FC, from Dongwe Location in Whittlesea, has stated that they want to be promoted to the Provincial ABC Motsepe League at the end of the season.

Despite not playing this past weekend, the former Nedbank Cup Chris Hani SAB Regional League champions are still on the top of SAB Regional League Stream B with 32 points after 14 games.

The Dongwe-based side are leading Young Minds Development FC of Ilinge Township, who are in second place, by three points and with a game in hand, after their game on Sunday against Komani Conquerers was postponed until further notice.

MK’s head coach, Bulelani Sindelo, said the players were pumped up and in good spirit with one vision this season.

“This season we are doubling our efforts and I am happy with the work that these boys are putting in every week,” said Sindelo.

This coming Saturday, the Stream B log leaders will welcome second-placed Young Minds Development, in a top-of-the-table clash in Dongwe and Sindelo believes that the game will be decided by fine margins.

“Between us and Young Minds, there is not much of a difference in terms of playing style. Both of us are direct, we have the same size in terms of the height of players, and there is speed in both teams.

“I believe the team that commit fewer mistakes is the team that will win the game on Saturday,” said Sindelo.

The SAB Regional League Stream B clash will start at 1pm on Saturday in Dongwe Location.
