MAYOR Deon de Vos, of the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality, embarked on his annual outreach programme last week, accompanied by a delegation of municipal officials.
The public participation programme is scheduled to end with Ward 4 on Thursday, May 2.
It serves to introduce the draft 2019/20 IDP and budget to the communities of all 14 wards.
It also provides a platform for constructive engagement on the issues contained in the documents.
Residents, as well as the private and public sector, are encouraged to attend these meetings (of which a schedule has already been published, with copies posted on notice boards).
The public are also invited to inspect the documents which are available for viewing at public libraries, municipal administrative centres and on the municipal website.
The cut-off date for public inspection and comments is on Thursday, May 9, 2019.
