A 43-year-old man was arrested for the alleged murder of his 35-year-old girlfriend which took place on August 7, at Max Menase Street, in Middleburg.
According to police spokesperson Captain Namhla Mdleleni, the woman was reported missing on July 22 and her body was later found.
“The reason for the murder is not yet known,” said Mdleleni.
“The suspect appeared before the before Middleburg Court and the case was postponed to September 5 for formal bail application.
