MEMBERS of Gill Primary’s land service team is in the process of making Eco bricks and has presented the project to the rest of the school.
The inspiration came from a love of the environment, which is one of the four loves of land service.
The team is focusing on reducing the amount of plastic that pollutes our community and transforming it to the production of bricks. In some countries, houses have been made from these plastic bricks.
The school will encourage every household to participate in the manufacturing of the “Eco brick”.
The children collect various non recyclable plastics and compress the plastic into the 2l bottles until it is as hard as a brick. The team is enthusiastic about the project and looks forward to completing it as a school.
