Komani man arrested for dealing in drugs, possession of live ammunition

Komani police have arrested a 42-year-old man for possession of live ammunition and dealing in drugs on Saturday, 12 February.

Police spokesperson captain Lariane Jonker said the man was arrested in his house in Ensam village outside Komani for also illegally selling liqour. 

“The following narcotics and liquor were confiscated from the premises. Five full Mandrax tablets, 38 small sachets containing Tik, 25 rounds of live ammunition, two cases of Flying Fish beer, four cases of Black Label beer, five 200ml of Old Buck gin, one case of Strongbow beer, 1 case of Paarl Parle wine, three 750ml Old Buck gin, two 750ml Smirnoff vodka, ten 50 ml Savanna Dry ciders and ten Seville’s tobacco,” she said.

Jonker said the suspect will appear before the Komani Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 14 February on related charges.
