On July 7, the Deputy Minister of Transport, Lisa Mangcu will visit the bereaved family members who lost their loved ones in a tragic mini-bus accident that claimed 15 lives on the bypass on the N9/N10 near Middelburg on July 2.
Mangcu will be accompanied by officials from the Eastern Cape province, Road Accident Fund (RAF), Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) as well as Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality where they will gather at the Town Hall in Middleburg.
Mangcu will also be visiting the scene of the accident.

Spokesperson for the Eastern Cape Transport Department, Unathi Binqose said 13 bodies have positively been identified, while the body of a woman and a child is yet to be identified.
“We have been notified that a family will be travelling from the Western Cape to identify the two bodies,” said Binqose.
