A couple from Cradock was arrested this morning, 13 August around 09:00 for the possession and dealing of tik.
The man (45) and his girlfriend (23) were arrested after a search warrant was excecuted at their homestead in Mbeki Street, Lingelihle in Cradock.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Lariane Jonker, the arrest followed after information was received by Cradock Public Order Police about the selling of tik at an identified homestead.
“While searching the premises, 23 plastic bags of tik were found in possession of the woman and five plastic bags of tik, as well as a five-litre bucket containing tik was found in possession of the man,” Jonker said.
The estimated street value of the tik is R72 000.
The suspects are due to appear in court soon.
