Three students from Noupoort, who are the direct recipients
of a localised bursary programme, have successfully completed their studies and
are due to graduate this year, a success that will be shared by their families
and the greater community.
Ngcwelekazi Sicina, Bachelor
of Social Work student at the University of Fort Hare and a beneficiary of the
Noupoort Wind Farm Bursary programme said, “The bursary fund enabled me to
focus on my studies without financial hardship, resulting in good grades and an
enjoyable varsity experience. I am now a qualified social worker and forever
grateful to the Noupoort Wind Farm and Studytrust for their support.”
Designed to provide access
to tertiary education to community learners who are in matric or already
enrolled full-time at a university or college at the time of applying, this
programme has provided invaluable educational and skills development
opportunities for aspiring individuals since its inception in 2018.
