THE Komani rugby side, Breakers, look set to back their strength and physicality when they travel to East London to face Young Leopards in a crucial Eastern Cape Super 14 rugby competition clash on Saturday.

Having started the season with an impressive victory over newcomers Black Eagles, here in Komani, coach Mzi Tsontonga’s men lost their second game of the tournament against Ncera Leopards away.

Breakers desperately need a win against Young Leopards to ensure that they do not fall any further behind in the Eastern Cape Super 14 Group A log standings. Breakers are currently sixth in the group on four points.

Team manager, Solomon Manzi, is happy with the break the team had and said they are working hard during training.

“We have had a great week off and time to reflect. We are obviously very disappointed with our last game against Ncera Leopards, but the technical team has been working hard this week trying to rectify those mistakes,” said Manzi

“We need to get back on track and hopefully against Young Leopards we can get some points on the board. During the last game against Ncera Leopards, there was a lot of physicality and we did not handle it well enough.

“We could be more physical and we are working on it this week. We have got a great pack when they are firing,” said Manzi

The game will be played in Ducats in East London and will start at 15:00 on Saturday.
