THREE young girls from Belgium, who have just completed their internship training in social educational caring, in special care centres Nonzamo and Lukhanyo, in Linglihle, Cradock, have spent their last few days in South Africa visiting Cradock’s historical sites.
Mid-Karoo Express met them last week Friday, when they were visiting the Dutch Reformed Moederkerk.
Liesbeth Schalck, who is an accomplished piano and organ player, enjoyed testing out the church’s organ and grand piano.
Her two friends, Eveline Seghers and Silke van Heegaerden, enjoyed the music and sang a few Christmas carols.
The girls, who arrived in South Africa on September, 22, last year, have completed their work in Cradock and are flying back to Belgium today, December 20, to be home in time for Christmas.
