AMAVARARA FC – the Eastern Cape Nedbank Cup Champions – drew 1-1 with Birmingham City FC in their ABC Motsepe League encounter at the Dumpy Adams Sports Complex in Komani on Saturday.
Amavarara right-back, Victor Ntsane, scored a goal in the first half of the game, while the defending team scored an equaliser in the second half.
Having failed to secure the maximum points from the match, Amavarara dropped from sixth position to seventh on the log with 25 points.
Birmingham City now occupy the fourth position with 26 points.
The home team will battle it out against Yaka United FC in Mount Ayliff on Saturday.
