Elliott Brother Auctioneers is preparing to host a sale of Dohne Merino ewes and lambs, fat Angora ewes, Beefmaster cows with calves, and heifers ready for mating, on Wednesday, November 17.
The preliminary numbers on offer are 1 100 sheep and 80 cattle.
The 1 100 sheep comprise 700 Dohne Merino ewes (running with the ram), 42 Dohne Merino hamels, 214 Dohne Merino weaned lambs, 28 Dohne Merino and Merino rams and 116 Angora ewes for slaughter (old). All sheep were shorn at the beginning of October 2021.
The 80 cattle comprise 40 Beefmaster cows with calves, and 40 Beefmaster heifers (ready for mating).
- The seller reserves the right to withdraw or add items on or before sale dates.
Conditions of sales: A refundable deposit of R5 000 is required, together with proof of residence and valid identity document. An admin levy of 1.5% will be levied on cash payments.
The sale will take place on the farm Quarrelbrook in Tarkastad on November 17 at 11:00.
Quarrelbrook is situated 50km from Komani (formerly Queenstown) on the Komani/Tarkastad Road. To get there, take the Smitskraal turnoff and proceed for a further 25km. Indicators will mark the route. From Tarkastad take the Heuningklip turnoff.
