THE South African Police Service in Jansenville is urgently seeking the assistance of the community in tracing a suspect who has been linked to the theft of a motor vehicle, which was committed in the Jansenville area in 2013.

According to police reports, the suspect allegedly stole a white Isuzu bakkie on November 23 in 2013, in the Brickfield area.

He was arrested for the theft of the motor vehicle in Kirkwood the same day.

“The suspect, Mzwandile Speelman (46), appeared in the Jansenville Magistrate’s Court on February 18, 2015, and was released on bail and warned to appear on March 16, 2015 for the next appearance.

“He failed to appear in court and a warrant for his arrest was issued,” said police spokesperson, Gerda Swart in a statement.
