THE Graaff-Reinet Dutch Reformed Church held their annual street store on February 25 and 26 where clothing and other items still in mint condition were placed on the outside walls of the church for needy people to take.

Community members had the opportunity to select clothing and other items that were on display for their personal use. This is an annual project where members of the church clean out their closets and bring unwanted items to the church.

This year the response was overwhelming and it was decided to extend and move the street store nearer to the communities in dire need of clothing and other items of use.

Church members testified of the blessing that they experienced by taking part in this project.

“This project creates an awareness of the need that exists in communities on our doorstep,” one member said.
