ONE of the hardest parts of job hunting or applying for tertiary education has to be the process of submitting applications via the internet.

But Siwaphiwe Ncede has found a solution for the issue.

The idea came about on a random day while sitting at the Cradock Four monuments.

As an unemployed young person himself, he decided to start Ekasi Internet Cafe for people within the location.

For most living in the location, a simple internet connection meant transport fare to town and back and the actual fee you need in order to get your things done.

This has been one of Cradock’s biggest problems, as many youths come from a background that is not financially equipped to assist with these types of expenses.

This new initiative is set to be a success as its official launch and opening definitely interested a lot of people, thanks to its affordable prices and easy to access location.

“Youth in Lingelihle need to start doing things themselves as fighting and begging for opportunities are not working,” Ncede said.

“As much as this is a business initiative, it is also an example that there are opportunities which need us, as youth, to consider, rather than sitting around and complaining about the unemployment within our town.”

Those words alone show that Ncede is more than a businessman but also an opportunity identifier.

With determination and focus, Ekasi Internet Cafe is sure to be one of the best ventures ever considered within Lingelihle.
