FREDDY Trout and Wayne Windvoël of People Against Substance Abuse (PASA) visited Union High School on June 10 to educate learners about the effects of drug use.
The speakers said high school learners were particularly at risk and therefore needed to be properly educated on the negative effects of drug and alcohol use.
During their visit, PASA founder, Trout, and former drug addict, Windvoël, shared their stories of drug abuse, addiction, gangsterism and violence to enlighten the learners about the reality of addiction and possibly curb any experimentation with addictive substances.
The learners listened with rapt attention as the two presenters recounted their life-altering experiences, rounding off a thoroughly engaging session.
