BRING a treat, toy or donation to the Queenstown SPCA and spend some time with a furry ‘friend’ – whether it is a dog, a cat or a donkey.
The SPCA is set to hold a Pet-A-Pup event from 11:00 to 14:00 on Sunday, March 1, in a bid to not only create awareness about the organisation, but also to raise much-needed funds. Cupcakes for the humans and treats for the animals will be on sale.
Residents are also welcome to bring their own treats for the animals at the shelter. The entry fee is R15 per person and includes a free coffee or juice. The non-profit organisation is situated on the Lady Frere Road, near the Bonkolo Dam turn off. For more information, contact the Queenstown SPCA at 045 839 2819. – REPORTER
