Swift response by Cookhouse CSC members, detectives,
Cradock K9 and Cradock highway patrol yesterday, May 13 at about 12:30, led to
the arrest of two suspects, aged 34 and 36, and the recovery of a white Ford
Ranger 2,5 T.

According to police spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson,
after information was received that a vehicle was heading in the direction of
Cookhouse from Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) on the N10 road, members from
Cradock SAPS and Cookhouse SAPS were activated to intercept the stolen vehicle
on the N10 road. The vehicle was stolen in Rosettenville in Johannesburg on May 4.

“The patience and determination of the SAPS team paid off
when the alleged vehicle was recovered after a high speed chase on the N10 road,”
said Rawlinson.

“The driver and his passenger were arrested for the
possession of a stolen motor vehicle and are due to appear before the Somerset
East Magistrate’s Court soon.”

Cookhouse Station Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Dennis
Ferreira, applauded all the members who were involved in the successful recovery
of the stolen vehicle and the arrest of the two suspects.
