A 32-year-old
woman was shot and killed on Sunday, June 12, in Vabaza Street, Lingelihle in
Cradock.
According
to police spokesperson Captain Namhla Mdleleni, it is alleged that the deceased
was sleeping next to her boyfriend when shots were fired in the home.
“The
boyfriend allegedly left the bedroom to investigate and the suspect then
entered the room and shot the woman,” said Mdleleni.
“Police
were summoned and found that the woman was already dead.”
Mdleleni
said a case of murder has been opened and no arrest has been made yet.
