The discovery of a 44-year-old woman’s body in Mlungisi township in Komani on September 19 has led to the activation of a 72-hour plan by the police.
Police spokesperson, captain Namhla Mdleleni, said police attended to a scene where the body of a woman, whose name has not yet been released, was found with multiple stab wounds.
“The circumstances surrounding the gruesome murder as well as the suspect is unknown at this stage. A case of murder is under investigation,” she said.
Mdleleni said police were appealing to the community to assist with any information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact lieutenant colonel Bulelwa Lambese on 082 441 8178 or Crime Stop on 0800 10111 or their nearest police station.
“All information is confidential and callers may remain anonymous,” Mdleleni said.
