Cradock SAPS is appealing to members of the community to assist with the whereabouts of Andrew Kroukamp (28) who is wanted for questioning in the murder case of Matthys Van Niekerk (65) who was fatally stabbed at a farm near Cradock on August 30.
As previously reported, police were summoned to a murder scene at a farmhouse that is situated near the R390 between Hofmeyr and Cradock on August 30 where Van Niekerk’s body was found with stab wounds in the upper body.
Moments later Van Niekerk’s car was found abandoned in Conway Road, Hofmeyr.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli said, “Police are looking for Kroukamp who is believed is going to assist them in solving the murder case of Van Niekerk whose body was found with stab wounds at a farm near route R390 outside Cradock.”
He said that anyone with information that could assist with the whereabouts of Kroukamp is urged to contact the leader of the investigating team on 082 319 8876. The information may also be shared anonymously via Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
