Police in Graaff-Reinet have arrested a man for his alleged involvement in the murder of his 28-year-old girlfriend at a farm in Graaff-Reinet on February 3.
According to police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, on February 3, at around 05:00, police were summoned to a complaint of murder at a farm in Graaff-Reinet.
“At the scene, police found the lifeless body of a 28-year-old woman with multiple injuries,” said Nkohli.
He further said that the circumstances surrounding the incident have formed part of the investigation.
Nkohli said that a man, alleged to be the deceased’s boyfriend, was arrested on the scene and is due to appear in the Graaff-Reinet Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of murder.
Police have not yet released the deceased’s name.
