BLOEMFONTEIN – Tickets for the eagerly awaited international Toyota Challenge at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein are officially on sale. Through Ticketpro, it includes early bird specials from R30 per ticket for primary school children and those younger; R50 per adult for a seat in the open stand; and R70 for a seat on the main stand.
Ronel Pienaar, Free State Cheetahs spokesperson, said one ticket gave access to all three matches on a single day of the competition. The six-team tournament features three South African teams – the Toyota Cheetahs, Suzuki Griquas and Airlink Pumas – and three international sides. These are Black Lion from Georgia, Romania A and Lusitanos from Portugal.
“Every match day will feature live entertainment, appearances by well-known artists, fan activations and prizes; a full-day experience for supporters of all ages,” Pienaar said.
The first leg will take place in Bloemfontein, with the second leg in Tbilisi, Georgia, in October.
All three nations have qualified for the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia where Georgia and Romania are in the same group as South Africa, while Portugal return to the Free State capital, where they faced the Springboks in front of a sold-out crowd in 2024.
