Five members of the Whalers Athletic Club participated in the Blouberg Marathon held on Sunday 10 July. This was the last race on the calendar to qualify for the Comrades Marathon. The weather was overcast, cool with no wind, perfect running conditions. West Coast Marathon Club hosted the race and did a great job. The route was quite flat and took the runners through the suburbs of Blouberg, then through the Blouberg Nature Reserve and a loop around Melkbosstrand before heading back to Table View Mall.
