Be prepared for a fun walk with a difference.
Hermanus Times, in collaboration with Afdaks River Nursery, is planning a family day on 29 April.
The day, comprising a fun walk and stalls, is suitable for the whole family – dogs are also welcome, as long as they are on a leash.
The day is held to collect toys and books for Nomzamo Crèche in Zwelihle and pet food for the Hermanus Animal Welfare Society (Haws).
The mission of Nomzamo Crèche, which opened its doors in 1993, is to offer a service to the children and families of the community, with creative activities for children and developing their early learning skills.
It also aims to create a safe environment for children while parents are at work. The crèche offers the children quality education and care, and ensures appropriate development for children aged 2 to 5 years old.
A 7 km fun walk through the farm is planned along with lots of entertainment. Hermanus Times will publish photos of the event on our Facebook page.
There will be enough water points along the scenic route to keep everyone hydrated.
Tickets cost R50 per adult and R25 for children.
