On 31 March the Mayor of the Overstrand, Dr Annelie Rabie, was awarded alderwoman status. “I was awarded the alderwoman status at the same municipality where I was inducted as a first-time councillor in 2000,” she said on her Facebook page. With her are the Municipal Manager Dean O’Neill and Ward 9 councillor Grant Cohen.
