If so, visit https://www.yearbeyond.org/libraries-programme, the closing date is 12 March. This opportunity requires an 11-month, full-time commitment from Mondays to Fridays.
The YeBoneers on the YearBeyond Libraries Programme serve as either Reading Champions or ICT Champions.
The Reading Champions facilitate interactive shared reading sessions for children.
The ICT Champions provide computer assistance to library users, and staff conduct basic computer skills training for community members.
Reading Champions and ICT Champions also create educational, library-based exhibitions, do community-outreach initiatives, and support library staff with general day-to-day operations.
You can apply for the YearBeyond Libraries Programme if you are between 18 and 25 years old, and live near where the programme is implemented.
This year Kleinmond Library will also be part of this programme. The Overstrand YeBoneers will also work in Hawston, Hermanus, Mt Pleasant (which includes Zwelihle), Stanford, Gansbaai, Buffeljagsbaai, Exuloxweni, Kleinmond and Betty’s Bay.
