Don’t miss the clash between Boland Ladies and the Sharks Ladies this Saturday 4 June at the Grabouw Sports Field. The match is part of the Premier League Women’s Rugby clashes. Boland Ladies coach Thomas Chowles appealed to everyone to support the Boland women’s rugby team as they hope to set the record for “most spectators at a women’s rugby game”. This will be the last SA Rugby Premier League Women’s game in Boland for this year. “The previous record crowd was also in Grabouw,” said Chowles. Boland Ladies have been in the Premier League for more than three years, competing against Super Rugby unions with YTCs. “This in itself is an achievement, and we need all your support on Saturday,” Chowles said. The match kicks off at 14:30. The team will be led by team captain Carolishia Fisher. Other team members are Theresa Ruiters from Hermanus who is also the vice-captain (Scrum half), Bernadette Olisia from Hermanus (Lock), Carol Fisher from Grabouw, Maxene Valentine from Gansbaai (Flank), Ayanda Malinga from Hermanus (Wing), Michelle Bosch from Hermanus (Team Manager), Azesa Hele from Hermanus (Kit manager), Danver August from Gansbaai (Assistent Coach) and Zena Swartz from Hawston (Flank).
