The quarterly tourism meeting “Let’s talk tourism”, hosted by Beyond Black Mountain, took place at the Caledon Museum on Tuesday 5 June.

At these meetings interesting topics and the latest tourism-related happenings are discussed by people in the hospitality and other related industries.

Clinton Lerm of SA Forest Adventures took time out of his busy schedule as councillor at Overstrand Municipality to talk about the impact that adventure sport has on tourism. With the new K3 Zipline just outside Caledon nearing completion, the potential impact on tourism in Caledon could be huge as this will attract not only local adventure sport enthusiasts, but overseas visitors as well.

The K3 Zipline is the longest zipline in the world and after many hold-ups in the process of building it Lerm said it should be fully operational by October.
