Each year the Santa Shoebox Project collects and distributes personalised gifts of essential items and treats for underprivileged children throughout South Africa and Namibia.
This is the 18th year Santa Shoebox is running where they spoil children in Hermanus.
“With this project we are reaching out to the underprivileged children of Hermanus and for some of them it is the first time they have their own toothbrush and paste,” Gerda Swanepoel, one of the organisers said. “Our pledging has started on 1 September so please go on the Santa Shoebox webpage and pledge a box to a needy child and make their Christmas special.”
The drop off is on 27 and 28 October at Hermanus Primary School and on 16-28 October at the Creative Notions Sewing Shop at the Hemel-en-Aarde Village.
