Each year Tru-Cape Fruit Marketing, the largest marketer of South African apples and pears, opens its Heritage Orchard of old apple and pear varieties, no longer in commercial production. The guided walkabout was with Tru-Cape experts Buks Nel and Henk Griessel, both of Somerset West. Seen there on Saturday 4 March were: Ann and Guy Goudesone of Hermanus (above) and Graeme Hatley of Stanford with Anna Mouton of Stanford and Henk Griessel of Somerset West.
