More than two years after the brutal murder of Dimpo Skelenge her devastated family and supporters once again left the Caledon Court on Friday 25 October without getting any closure.
The case against her alleged killer Wiseman Ndara was postponed to 22 November.
Skelenge’s body was found on 7 September 2022. She was allegedly murdered by Ndara, her ex-boyfriend (“Woman killed, man arrested” Hermanus Times 14 September 2022) (“Women’s lives matter” Hermanus Times 7 August 2024).
Monde Xanywa, Dimpo’s uncle, told Hermanus Times: “Every time we come to court hoping it will be the last time, that sentencing will take place.
“Not only are we disappointed that the case was once again postponed, but it is also very expensive for the family and supporters, as we have to hire a taxi every time to bring us from Ashton to Caledon.”
