Thanks to a father’s vigilant action, two minors were arrested for being in possession of an unlicensed and an imitation firearm.
“On 16 March, the father of a 16-year-old boy was at home in Stanford when he saw his son looking suspicious,” Sgt Abigail Naidoo related.
“Questioning his son about his whereabouts he got upset and aggressive, and pulled out a firearm and cocked it. The father managed to grab the firearm and chased his son out of the house.
The father immediately contacted the Stanford police and they arrested the 16-year-old and another 17-year-old male. According to Naidoo both suspects appeared in court.
