Local kickboxers win 7 trophies at Wynberg winter tourney

Twelve fighters from the Martial Arts Academy recently competed in the Winter Kickboxing Cup, which was held at the Wynberg Civic Centre on 18 June. The fighters did extremely well, bringing home seven trophies, nine silver and six bronze medals. Back row (from left): Chelene Kreusch (gold, bronze), sempai Devine Januarie (gold, silver), Gareth Cupido (silver, bronze), Dylan Isaacs (gold, bronze) and Shihan Ruehan van Romburgh (gold). Front row: Aidan Brummer (silver, bronze), Kayden Poole (2 x silver), Namika Pieterse (gold, silver), Giovanni Momberg (silver, bronze) and Rachael Beukes (gold, silver).
