Drugs worth R20k confiscated, two arrested

Officers of Overstrand Law Enforcement’s K9 Unit and Task Team, in partnership with Gansbaai police, arrested two suspects for possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R20 000. Overstrand Deputy Mayor Lindile Ntsabo, the councillor responsible for Protection Services and Crime Prevention, reported that Law Enforcement and police officers had executed an operation on Monday 4 April at a house in Gansbaai, where they discovered 200 Mandrax tablets on the premises. “A man and a woman were arrested for being in possession of, and dealing in, drugs,” Ntsabo said.
