The baboon troop has returned to the Kleinmond area since the weekend.
They have so far been spotted especially in Palmiet and above the Kleinmond golf course.
“Please assist the Overstrand Municipality by storing waste securely and complying with the Integrated Waste Management Bylaw by putting dirt out only on waste-collection day in an animal-proof container and not just a black bag or bags.
“Alternatively, should you not have an animal proof container, you may deliver your waste directly to the Kleinmond Transfer Station, instead of placing it on the pavement for collection by the waste-collection teams,” said Municipal Manager Dean O’Neill.
“Your assistance in keeping the waste away from the baboons is greatly appreciated.”
