For the past eight years the annual Greyton Art Walk (GAW) has successfully given many artists the opportunity to display their work at various outlets. Art lovers could view, and buy, original pieces of art by following the route to the various display areas. This included a church hall, art galleries and private homes.

This year, however, artists as well as art lovers do not have to wait for the annual Art Walk in late November, as an additional Art Walk will take place from 22 to 24 March. The format will be slightly different, as the Autumn Art Walk will be an art-and-wine weekend, when at least 30 artists will participate by displaying their work at local eateries and stoeps. A map and GAW flags will direct visitors to the exhibits.

This year’s theme is “To the Moon” and Sue Tahtum’s unique artwork that was sent to the moon by the NASA space agency will be on display. Tahtum, also a participant in the 2024 GAW, will also give two informal talks about her art. (Read more about Tahtum at https://sandpaper.gallery)

The second Art Walk will take place from 29 November to 1 December, which means that art lovers, this year, will have two opportunities to view an outstanding variety of art and possibly pick up the perfect piece to either start, or add to, their collection.
