A 28-year-old man appeared in court earlier this week after he was caught in possession of a large amount of drugs. Captain Fadila September, spokesperson for Hermanus police, stated the police had followed-up on information about suspected drug dealing at premises in Bonga Street, Zwelihle, where they made the arrest around midnight on 8 July. “On searching the house they discovered 3 940 Mandrax tablets and cash believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing,” she stated. “The drugs and money were seized.” The suspect appeared in the Hermanus Magistrates’ Court on a charge of dealing in drugs.
