Given that the last day of Overstrand Municipality’s Tourism Indaba happens to fall on the first Thursday in September, Mayor Annelie Rabie requested that the scheduled First Thursday event in Hermanus be postponed by a week.
The First Thursday initiative has become an opportunity for residents to engage with the Mayor, Municipal Manager, councillors and officials on how to improve municipal service delivery in the towns within the Overstrand. No appointment is needed as the sessions will be conducted on a first come, first served basis.
The next First Thursday meeting will take place at the Municipal Banquet Hall in Hermanus on 14 September from 17:00 to 19:00.
