Between 23 and 29 October Overstrand Municipality’s K9 and Rural Safety units in conjunction with other municipal law-enforcement agencies and the police arrested two suspects on charges of murder and four for the possession of drugs. Seven wanted criminals were also arrested. The law-enforcement officers confiscated 3½ Mandrax tablets, 12 bankies tik and two sets of stolen lights. The Western Cape Minister of Police Oversight and Community Safety, Reagen Allen, said: “My gratitude goes to our K9 and Rural Safety Units, which on a regular and consistent basis continue to demonstrate their commitment to creating safer communities.”
