Three days of pure mountain biking bliss, where rolling vineyards meet rugged terrain, and every pedal stroke takes you deeper into South Africa’s most spectacular landscapes.
The FNB Wines2Whales isn’t just another mountain bike race – it’s a journey that combines world-class wine country with heart-pumping single track adventures that will leave you breathless… This unique MTB race will be held from 31 October – 9 November and boasts three events within its umbrella of races, the Chardonnay, the Pinotage and the Shiraz.
• The Chardonnay Women’s Weekend will be held from 31 October -2 November and according to the race organisers you don’t have to be a racing-focused woman to enter, but you have to be okay with them getting all the attention. The 61 km route will take you from Benguela Cove to the Oak Valley Estate in Grabouw.
• E-Bikes have become increasingly popular on the trails and to meet that demand FNB W2W introduced an E-Bike Tour and an E-Bike Race in the mid-week Pinotage event from 3-5 November. This route with the reputation of being the most laid back and relaxed of the three events, The Pinotage (67 km) sees the highest number of FNB Wines2Whales first-timers.
• The Shiraz (7 -9 November 2025) takes place over the last weekend of the race and has the reputation of taking up the pace a notch or two. While the Chardonnay celebrates the Women’s racing category, the Shiraz celebrates Men’s, Mixed and Exxaro teams racing categories in addition to honouring the determination of the rest of the field as they compete in their respective age categories.
